Head of Recruitment Isabelle shares her story.
For almost three years, Isabelle has been an indispensable part of the Yes We Can family. She initially joined as a Senior Corporate Recruiter and now fulfils the role of Head of Recruitment. “I used to work in social-pedagogical care and gradually transitioned into recruitment. I always tried to keep one foot in the healthcare sector, though that wasn’t always entirely successful, as I also took on commercial roles in between. When Yes We Can crossed my path and I had my job interview, I thought: this is actually really great.”
From the very first day Isabelle stepped into Yes We Can, she was deeply moved by the warmth and kindness throughout the entire organisation. “Everyone greets you, every single time, no matter how often you’ve already seen each other. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from, you immediately feel welcome here. That’s what makes Yes We Can so unique. We don’t call it the Yes We Can family for nothing. You can truly feel that sense of connection everywhere. We do everything not just for our fellows, but certainly for our colleagues as well.”

Isabelle personally experiences that immediate sense of belonging. “The way we interact with each other, the honesty and openness you can expect from colleagues, it’s all here. Yes We Can feels like a place where I can truly be myself. I stand out a little because as a woman without hair, you get noticed. But in the three years I’ve worked here, I’ve never once felt like I was being looked at differently. That’s because everyone here is allowed to have their own story. I had to fight to accept myself as I am, and at Yes We Can I was accepted straight away. That’s what makes this such a truly special place for me.”
In her role as Head of Recruitment, Isabelle, together with her team, ensures that new colleagues immediately experience the same warmth and trust when they start. “At Yes We Can, we’re not looking for socially desirable answers, but we seek genuine personalities and real emotions. We work with a special group of people, which requires colleagues who dare to be themselves. That’s why I always approach interviews with vulnerability, as it creates a true connection. We are always looking for ways to increase our visibility, and for that, close collaboration with the communications team is essential. It’s not just about conveying our core values but also about making recruitment even more engaging and impactfut. We do so with relevant goodies, in-house events and talent days. We believe it’s important to show who we are, what we do and who we do it for.”
